The 2010 Midyear Meeting and Rita C. Davidson Award dinner is scheduled for Thursday, November 18, 2010. The WBA is honored to present its prestigious award to the Honorable Kathleen M. Dumais and the Honorable Ellen L. Hollander. Please check our calendar of events for future details.
The Baltimore chapter of the WBA will hold its first social of the new year. "Meet and Greet" is an opportunity to socialize with chapter members and members of the Bench. Non memb ers are encouraged to attend. It is scheduled for September 22, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Country Club of Maryland, 1101 Stevenson Lane, Towson, Maryland 21286. Heavy appetizers, coffee, tea and soda will be served along with a cash bar. The cost is $30 per person. Please submit payment by September 13, 2010 to Carrie Polley, 528 E. The Anne Arundel County, Howard County and the UB Law School Chapters of the WBA have an exciting upcoming event. Please save the date for Tues, Sept 28th for an evening with Susan Smith Blakely, author of the book Best Friends at the Bar: What Women Need to Know about a Career in the Law. Please join us at the University of Baltimore School of Law beginning with a Happy Hour at 6 pm. Ms. Smith-Blakely will speak in the moot court room at 7 pm and book sales and signing will follow.
